The Lindsay Park team have picked up
another Group One performing galloper in the off-season, with multiple Group One runner-up Spieth (Thorn Park x Stella Livia) departing the Warwick Farm stable of Bryce Heys.
Responding to speculation the Thorn Park
entire had headed to their stables, Lindsay Park confirmed on Twitter that
Spieth had now joined the likes of So Si Bon as new acquisitions for Hall of
Fame trainer David Hayes this summer period.
Spieth has so far collected A$605,600 in
prizemoney with five wins and four seconds from 16 starts, with two of those
runner-up finishes being high-profile ones - he was luckless behind Malaguerra
in the 2016 Darley Classic, and was beaten the smallest of margins again in his
next start in the 2017 Black Caviar Lightning.
Heys purchased Spieth for $200,000 from Trelawney's 2014 NZB draft. -racing.com
