Danzie one to watch
06 Jun 2017The most expensive runner in Australia on Monday made a winning debut at Goulburn.

A $725,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Boomer Bloodstock from the Trelawney Stud draft, three year-old gelding Danzie (Fastnet Rock x Zarzuela) has needed time to grow into his big frame, but when finally produced in the 1300 meter maiden he got the job done.

Given two recent trials by Bjorn Baker, the last one a win at Randwick on May 19, Daznie went to the races fit and ready to fire.

He stalked the pace and was able to overwhelm the favourite Common Purpose to win by a short half head with more than six lengths back to the third horse.

Danzie is a half-brother to Gr.3 winner Serious Satire and is the second winner for Gr.2 winning Zabeel mare Zarzuela.
