The four yearlings
that travelled to Sydney for the final Inglis Easter Yearling sale to be held
at Newmarket were well received, each one selling through the ring and have
been well placed in top stables.
Two Tailstocks went under the hammer on day one. The filly out of
Bagalollies, a full to HKJC Horse of the Year Werther, sold for $400,000 to
Damon Gabbedy of Blemont Bloodstock. This was quickly followed by
the full brother to Australian Oaks hopeful Harlow Gold (x Belongs In
Lights) selling for $240,000 to the duo of Phill Cataldo and Mick Kent.
On the second day the sole Trelawney representative went through the ring as
lot 201. The Savabeel x Lagonissi filly was purchased by the partnership
of Meridian International and Astute Bloodstock for $320,000.
Rounding off the draft on the final day was the Zoustar x Syrah
(pictured) filly who was sold for $180,000 to agent Mark Pilkington and
will join the stable of Andrew Noblet.
Trelawney averaged $285,000 with a median of $280,000 and were the leading NZ
vendor of the sale.
Trelawney would like to thank those who purchased from the draft and wish
everyone the best of luck with the new additions to the stable.
