Trelawney Stud’s 2017 NZB draft have begun
to arrive on the Karaka complex and are settling into their new surroundings
with parades to begin on Wednesday morning.
The 21 Premier yearlings and 13 Select have
been well received during the on-farm inspections and have peaked for their date in the auction ring next week.
Represented in the Premier draft are New
Zealand-based stallions Savabeel, O’Reilly, Tavistock, Pins, ShamExpress, Reliable
Man, and Ocean Park, while Australian sires Redoute’s Choice High Chaparral,
Sebring, Medaglia D’Oro, Dundeel and Epaulette also feature.
Brent Taylor identifies a couple of
standouts in Lot 431, the ShamExpress x Stella Livia colt (pictured) who is a very
athletic colt with great balance, he looks like a real runner and is a half to
the exciting Australian Group One place Spieth.
Another highlight is Lot 334, the Ocean
Park x Petit Verdot. “She represents
what I like to see in a filly; quality, feminine type, athletic movement, scope
for development and depth of pedigree.
This filly has it all,” Taylor said.
The draft is located in barn E and any
enquires can be directed to Brent on 021 949 644 or firstname.lastname@example.org Alternatively Brent and Cherry will both be
on the complex and welcome any past, present or potential clients to join them
in Trelawney’s hospitality tent for a refreshment and bite to eat.
