Mare franks high opinion
09 Sep 2016Promising High Chaparral mare Francaletta (x Snow Peak) made no mistake as she produced an impressive performance to score by three and a half lengths on debut at Matamata on Wednesday.

The Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman-trained filly was sent out a hot favourite after two trial wins and lived up to the hype easily.

Francaletta had been considered for the Gr.1 Queensland Oaks last season before a pulled leg muscle scuppered plans for a Brisbane campaign.  She was bred by Raffles Racing and sold from Trelawney's 2014 Easter draft for $65,000.
